About
Young Kwak is a freelance photographer and videographer based out of Spokane, Washington. After earning a BA in Economics from UCLA in 1994, Young combined his creative abilities with his economics and business education as a part of the advertising industry in both California and Washington. His early experience includes 11 years as a pre-press operator and print production manager, and 3 years as an art director. Since 2007, he has worked as a still photographer adding video services in early 2009.
Young's range of services include still photography, filming, editing and final delivery for a host of corporate, agency and editorial clients, including the Pacific Northwest Inlander, for whom he won a national first place 2010 Association of Alternative Weekly award in the photography category and a 2010 first place award in the Alternative Newsweekly Photography category by the Society of Professional Journalists Region 10.
Young carefully listens to the needs of his clients and makes all of the proper creative decisions to get a client's message out in an effective manner. Whether it is a TV commercial, a web promotional video, a print advertisement or a news story, Young always listens for key moments in an interview or looks for action taking place around a set to find elements to enhance the story being told.
